Description

If you are craving something sweet but with small effort, in no time, and no mess, then the Oreo mug cake recipe is good for you. It takes very little time to be prepared and there is not much mess you need to clean. That means you can enjoy this delicious recipe without putting in so much effort. This recipe is an improved version of 1 minute Oreo mug cake. Oreos are both loved by adults and kids due to their delicious chocolaty texture and taste. They are not just ordinary biscuits but a nostalgic childhood memory of when we used to love these biscuits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 pieces Oreo biscuit
  • 1/4 cup 60ml hot milk
  • 1 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp melted chocolate
  • Chocolate sprinkles on top – optional

Instructions

  1. Take four Oreo biscuits in a mug and add hot milk to it. Crush the Oreos in hot milk with a fork or spoon until they are blended into each other forming a smooth mixture.
  2. Add all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder to the Oreo and milk mixture.
  3. Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth Oreo cake batter and no lumps of dry ingredients remain.
  4. Dip an Oreo biscuit in between the mug cake batter and microwave it for 1 minute.
  5. Remove it from the microwave and let it cool for 2 minutes. Add melted chocolate on top of the mug cake and add some chocolate sprinkle on it. The eggless Oreo mug cake is ready to serve.

Notes

  • Mix all ingredients well and make sure to not leave any lumps before you put it in a microwave. It’s better to sift the all-purpose flour and other dry ingredients before adding.
  • Measure all the ingredients before using to make the moist and soft, chocolate Oreo mug cake.
  • Use ordinary cocoa powder in this recipe for an original classic taste. I don’t recommend you use Dutch-processed cocoa because it will turn your mug cake to bitter.
  •  Use hot milk to dissolve the Oreo biscuit in it well. Don’t use too hot milk.
  • Submerge the Oreo biscuit in the center and make sure it is covered by the batter. It will result in outstanding taste in the center.
  • The cooking time in different microwaves may vary. So, check on the cake from time to time. If your mug cake is ready in 20-30 seconds, then don’t worry, it’s because of your microwave power.
