Description

Craving biscuits but want to skip the oven? Then try Air Fryer Biscuits! The air fryer requires less oil, which gives you a healthy option for enjoying your biscuits.

To make these biscuits, knead self-rising flour with buttermilk and butter to form a dough. Roll and fold the dough 5-6 times, then cut it with a biscuit cutter. Bake in an air fryer for 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Biscuits cooked in an air fryer are quick, flaky, and perfectly golden crispy outside. My family loves these biscuits so much that they disappear even if I bake a lot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups Self-rising flour
  • 70g cold butter
  • 150 ml cold buttermilk

Instructions

Notes

  1. Before baking, cover your biscuits with aluminum foil to prevent them from getting brown.
  2. Don’t over-mix the dough; it will make the biscuits hard.
  3. Cold butter produces steam as it melts, which helps the biscuits to rise and flake.
  4. The cooking duration of biscuits may vary depending on the model of your air fryer. To ensure they don’t overcook, check the doneness of the biscuits one or two minutes before the end of the cooking time.
  5. If you want, you can make canned biscuits in an air fryer.
  6. Brush with butter as soon as they come out from the air fryer.
