Description

To make a butter candle, melt butter and pour it into a candle mold with an edible wick. Freeze until solid, then light the wick. The melting butter becomes a versatile addition to your dishes, perfect for dipping or drizzling over various foods.

If you haven’t heard, there is a viral butter candle trend going around. So, I decided to try one out for us. These candles are a playful way to enhance your charcuterie board, adding a delicious buttery twist to your bread, steaks, and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Butter 250g (1 cup)
  • One bulb of Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon of thyme, oregano, parsley, rosemary
  • Salt and pepper
  • One lemon
  • Rosemary figs

Instructions

  1. Roast the Garlic: Cut off the top part of the garlic and transfer it to the kitchen foil. Season the garlic with salt, pepper, and olive oil and close the foil. At 180°C/360°F bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Notes

  1. Properly chill the butter in the refrigerator because chilling will firm the butter and keep the wick in place.
  2. Melt the butter on low heat to prevent it from burning.
  3. If the butter candle hardens too much after refrigeration, let it sit at room temperature.
  4. Use different herbs, flavors, and spices to create unique candles.
  5. Use the food-safe wick. Ensure that the wick is made of cotton or hemp.
  6. Before serving, light the candle for 10-15 minutes to melt it.
