Description

Sunday evenings are for cooking new recipes while listening to good music. Tonight, I tried the Chimichurri Tomato Pizza Recipe. Top the pizza dough with tomato sauce, cheese, tomato, and delicious chimichurri sauce. Bake it, and bon appetit!

No matter who wins the World Cup, if you make this Chimichurri Pizza you will be the champion!

 

If you want something delicious and a way to use your garden herbs, then try this pizza with Argentinian chimichurri sauce.


Ingredients

For Pizza Dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For Pizza Toppings:

 

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • Chimichurri sauce (to taste)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced

Notes

  1. Don’t overtop the pizza too much because sauce or cheese will make the crust soggy.
  2. If you like your pizza with a little extra crust, reheat each slice before serving.
  3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes to make it elastic and smooth.
  4. To activate the yeast properly use lukewarm water.
  5. Add other toppings to your taste or preference.
