Description

Who knows that we can create magic in smoothies made with cucumbers, berries (of your choice), and basil, adored with secret ingredients? Yes, you guessed it right! Cucumber berry basil smoothies are one of my favorite healthy smoothies, and I make them at least three times a week.

Cucumbers and berries are good for health, but I never thought of combining these two! Cucumber smoothies and strawberry shakes are well-known; I make them every weekend. Thanks to that one random Sunday, I decided to add them to a single smoothie. Oh yes! The basil (I have been obsessed with) takes a silly combination to the next level. Three main ingredients are good for health, and I make them extra healthy by adding my healthy additions like Greek yogurt, honey, chia seeds, and almond milk. It is one of the smoothie recipes that is absolutely delicious and so healthy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup frozen cucumbers
  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seed for topping

Instructions

  1. Gather the Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients and cut the cucumbers into medium-sized slices. If you are using bananas or other fruits, cut them into pieces to facilitate blending.

Notes

  1. Frozen fruits are recommended because they will create a smooth, thick, silky, and velvety smoothie. If you are using fresh ones, add some ice to achieve that smoothie consistency.
  2. The time for blending the ingredients can be different depending on the power of the blender. Blending the smoothie for 50 seconds will be enough. Remember to mix the ingredients at low speed for 10 seconds and then increase the speed for 40 seconds.
  3. The problems are too thin, too thick, and big chunks. All these can be solved with the perfect balance of liquids and fruits. Try to remember the Golden Ratio while choosing the ingredients. A smoothie is balanced by three essential components: protein, fats, and carbohydrates. For protein, take any milk, plant-based milk, or yogurt. The fruits and greens you are taking will complete the carb portion. Avocado, seeds, and dairy milk provide fats.
