Ingredients
Scale
- 1 egg
- Half cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 cup diced (peaches)
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
For Optional Glazing:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Mix Wet Ingredients. In a bowl add canola oil, egg, and vanilla extract and whisk them. Now add sugar and whisk it with wet ingredients until it is dissolved. You can use granulated sugar, but I prefer you to use powdered sugar because it will give a smooth consistency.
- Add the Dry Ingredients. Now add dry ingredients to the wet mixture we prepared before. Gradually add all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Combine it with a wooden spoon until well combined. Don’t overmix the mixture.
- Fold in Peaches. Gradually add the diced cut peaches to the mixture and gently fold into the mixture.
- Prepare the Loaf Pan and Pour the Bread Batter. Take a 9 x 5-inch loaf baking pan and grease it. Pour the prepared mixture into a loaf pan and smooth the top with a wooden spatula.
- Bake. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake peach bread in a preheated oven for about 1 hour. Insert a toothpick into peach bread. If it comes out dry then your peach bread is completely cooked.
- Cool and Serve. Allow to cool the peach bread for 5 minutes, then cut it into pieces with a sharp knife.Serve it with tea and coffee. A great option for a snack with tea. Perfect for brunch.
Optional Glazing:
- Take one cup of powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of milk and whisk it. Once it gives smooth consistency our glazing is ready. Now drizzle it on peach bread and let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb moisture and distribute flavor to whole peach bread.
- If you want to make your glaze creamier you can also add heavy cream instead of whole milk. You can also add peach flavoring to enhance taste, but it will make it simple.
Notes
- Always choose ripe peaches because it will make our peach bread soft. If you don’t have fresh peaches, you can use canned peaches.
- Don’t overmix your peach bread batter because by overmixing our batter will become tough.
