Description

The Mocha cappuccino recipe is the type of divine yummy coffee recipe I have been obsessed with lately. Caffè mocha or simply mocha is typically made with steamed or frothed whole milk, paired with chocolate, and espresso shots dusted with cocoa to further bring out the chocolate vibes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ tablespoons melted chocolate chips
  • ¼ teaspoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 double shot espresso (2 oz)
  • ½ cup frothed whole milk

Instructions

  1. Heat and froth the whole milk: Heat and froth the milk using the stovetop, French press, or a frothy wand.
  2. Prepare the espresso: Prepare double-shot espresso using an espresso machine or manually.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips: Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe mug and then microwave it for about 10 seconds. Add the melted chocolate to a coffee cup and stir it.
  4. Mix the espresso with chocolate: Pour the double shot espresso on melted chocolate and combine it well. Sprinkle the cocoa powder.
  5. Combine the frothed milk: Tilt the coffee mug and start pouring the milk in it with some height to combine with the espresso and chocolate mixture. As the cup fills to some extent bring the pitcher closer to the tilted coffee mug and start creating the fun pattern. To make the heart pattern, pour the froth milk from the center and start moving the pitcher back and forth and form fun latte art.

Notes

  • Choice of coffee beans. Make your espresso with freshly ground coffee beans. Use arabica and robusta beans to make the perfect espresso shots. The typical percentage of arabica is 80-90% while that of robusta beans is 10%.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in intervals. Microwave the chocolate chips in small amounts of time in small intervals. Take your chocolate chips out of the microwave when they are soft and stir it with a spoon to melt them properly.
  • Sweet caffè Mocha. If you prefer your mocha cappuccino recipe to be sweet, then add some brown sugar while mixing chocolate and espresso and still until well combined.
  • Try different add-ons. Add additional flavors like some vanilla drops or cinnamon to elevate the chocolate flavors. Drizzle with some chocolate syrup to get the chocolate vibes. Experiment with different types of milk like oat milk or almond milk to get different exciting flavors.
  • Try making latte Art. If you want to make your caffè mocha aesthetically pleasant then try making a pattern with froth milk. If it does not form art don’t panic because it will still taste as good as you expect.
