Make This Recipe Ahead of Time
Store the whipped honey cream in a glass jar with an airtight container and store it at room temperature or in the fridge to keep its texture thicker. Prevent it from direct sunlight and store it in cool places because high temperatures will make the honey runny rather than fluffy and dense. That creamed honey is not something I suggest freezing.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Making Whipped Honey
- Crystalized Honey. Soft set honey is naturally occurring but at low temperatures or with time, the melted soft honey starts to form tiny crystals in pure honey. Crystalized honey can also be used. If the honey is crystalized, then warm the honey jar in a warm bowl of water or microwave it shortly for 10 seconds.
- Honey Temperature. Use the honey at room temperature for better whipping. Cold-temperature honey will not produce the perfect whipped honey and create hindrances in the whipping process.
- Whipping Speed. It’s better to start whipping at low speed and then gradually turn the low speed to high for best whipping. If the whipped honey starts to crystallize again then whip it again before using it.
