This sauce is my all-time favorite pasta sauce!
This sauce comes together quickly and is often served in Italian cuisine. It used to take me much longer to make but this has been my new way for the past few months, and I am so happy with the results!

How to make Orange palomino pasta sauce
STEP 1. Heat the butter over medium-low heat and add the chopped yellow onions and garlic. Sauté until the onions are soft, about 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
STEP 2. After two minutes, add the basil leaves and continue cooking. Add the tomato sauce, tomato puree, and water and stir. Put over medium heat and bring to a simmer over medium flame.
STEP 3. Mascarpone cheese should be added and whisked until melted. Stirring often, simmer for an additional ten minutes.
STEP 4. Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture, or add it to a conventional blender, but proceed with care. You can only place a small amount in a traditional blender at a time and should always use caution when blending hot mixtures in your blender!) Blend until smooth.
