How do you prepare sushi rice?
Sushi rice is short-grain rice mixed with vinegar, sugar, and salt. Take one cup of short-grain rice. Make sure to rinse the rice well. Run through the water, run through a colander and dry it for about 15 minutes. Add one cup of white rice in a medium saucepan on high heat.
Now add one ¼ cup of cold water and bring it to boil. Reduce the heat to medium after it reaches a boil. Put the lid on and boil it for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to a very low flame and cook it for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame and rest it for 15 minutes. Take another pan, mix two tablespoons of rice vinegar, one tbsp of sugar, and salt, and slowly allow them to combine. After the rice is ready, move it to a big bowl and slowly pour the vinegar mixture over it. I used the chopping and folding method to mix the mixture. Our sushi rice is ready!
