You can choose any of those, but select mushrooms wisely because they are the key ingredient of this golden mushroom soup recipe.

  • Butter and Olive Oil: Butter and olive oil are used for sautéing mushrooms and onions. You can use any other oil if you don’t have olive oil. I prefer the healthier option, so I use olive oil.

Instruction

Cut 2 cups of mushrooms into thin slices. Add one tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of olive oil to a pot on medium-high heat. Add all your sliced mushrooms and cook until all the moisture is gone and they caramelize.

Sauté the Mushrooms

When the mushrooms are dry, add minced yellow onion to the pot. Cook them until fragrant for 1-2 minutes.
